Okay, here is a place for the Golfers to talk about tournaments, clubs, swing help or thoughts.
Today is the Players Championship, which I think ought to be the 5th Major. Largest pot in the PGA. The daunting 17th, which seems to bring excitement every year. At least we will get to see Sergio blow up yet again.
I am flabbergasted that guys have been dropping so many long putts on poa greens.
Also, as much as the ball and club have impacted scoring, I think Trackman is just as big of a contributor. When you know the *exact* numbers you need to and do fly everything, it makes golf more formulaic, which significantly improves consistency.
The days of par winning the US Open are over for good. [Reply]

I think this is set up pretty good. The USGA is known for fucking up courses for the US Open, just so they can see over par numbers. The issue is that it's not consistent for the players and it brings luck into play. I want majors to be the least luck as possible involved. That is why I hate the British Open - at least when the weather is shitty. How is that even golf? The best player isn't going to win. At least at the British Open it's set up fine - it's just the weather element comes into play. The USGA straight up destroys the way some courses are supposed to play - just because it's the US Open.
