I love my medical clients but that is pretty accurate.

Emoting doesn't require sense.

‘Okay, I’m not going to feel bad for this person, because they make their own choice,’” Cobia

Sounds like getting this doctor is like ending up in the Stephen King novel "Misery"!

Horrible propaganda.

It's disheartening to watch people push the vaccine under the pretense of the well being of others, only to watch them flip and jump at the chance to "blame" them with no compassion.
I hear a lot of loud people talking about their "choices" regarding the vaccine. Well, it's their choice to not take the vaccine and as a result they are to blame for dying from an almost completely preventable cause as a result of "choosing" to not get vaccinated. And they are also to blame for potentially infecting those around them in that process. My sympathy is best spent on people that make non-stupid choices. Nothing is completely absolute, but odds are a boatload better vaccinated vs unvaccinated.

That's true, but the cowardice toward vaccines seems to be a new wrinkle.

Yep, I think you’re right. That’s the only way it makes sense.

Yeah, that's the way I read it. It's confusing because of "their death note," which kind of should be "the deceased's death note" or whatever. But the paragraph is referring to family members of the deceased as "they."

https://ourworldindata.org/covid-hospitalizations

There is other, really cool data in there as well.

Sure, people have to be responsible for the choices they make.

But it’s not like this is happening in a vacuum. The drumbeat of misinformation has real consequences. I disagree with putting all the blame on the individuals not getting vaccinated when you see the large scale media campaign that some of these individuals are exposed to.

I swear if Joe Rogan would just go all in on the vaccine, 20 million dudebros would sign up for the jab tomorrow. He has to be the most influential voice among men in America.
