Large mistake by Nascar officials going public so soon. But also sounds like someone fashioned the noise on a couple of garages, as the others aren't tied that way

I'll give NASCAR a tiny bit of props for falling on the sword here and trying to take the heat off Bubba.

NASCAR President Steve Phelps says the 43 team had nothing to do with this. The evidence is clear that it had been in the garage in October and that if NASCAR saw the same thing it saw Sunday, NASCAR would investigate and call the FBI again. NASCAR says it is still investigating.
