Just heard Fescoe talking about someone close to Andy that told him Andy was extremely distraught by this loss and knows he personally screwed up. This isn't just another loss. This affected Andy deeply.
I think we might see some changes going forward, especially in attention to late game situations.
The other thing I heard this morning from my source is that Mahomes was angry after the game yesterday. So angry that he was almost on the verge of tears. Going forward you might see more fire from Mahomes in leading this team and getting on others when shit goes south. Like Marino/Aikman type leadership. [Reply]

1. We will not be facing the Titans in the playoffs. Thank God, because we can never beat them.
2. We are still heavy favorites in our division. Win vs the Raiders and we will likely have a game lead + tiebreaker, virtually a 2.5 game lead over them, with 4 games left to go.
3. No bye week sucks, but week 17 might not matter and that can be a psuedo-bye week. It just means we have to win 3 games in a row. First game at home vs Bills or Raiders or Steelers - easy enough.
4. Game 2 on the road vs Texans, Ravens, or Patriots, game 3 on the road as well. Face it - we are a better team on the road somehow. Maybe this is what we needed to get to the Superbowl. We have Mahomes and our defense is a coinflip as to whether they will play good. 2 coinflips = 25% chance for the Superbowl, let's go boyos, we got this.
Excellent post! I really believe the Chiefs home playoff history makes the team and coaches tight playing at home in close games in the postseason. If healthy they can run the table on the road, unless Jackson goes all freak show. [Reply]
It's what he didn't say. The Chiefs brass asked him several times is there any more to this story about the hotel incident. He said no, when he should have said, I kicked a chick because she attacked me. Then the video came out. [Reply]

You have 3rd n 2. ONE MOTHER ****ING FIRST DOWN WINS THE FOOTBALL GAME.
Does he scheme up two plays to get the two yards we need to win the game?
**** no.
He treats it like we are in the opening quarter, calls some stupid ****ing slow developing tight end screen that isnt even going to Kelce, but to a guy who arguably should not even be playing.
So he plays for a field goal to go up 8 and offer the Titans a shot to tie the game.
WHYYYYYYYYY????
First down wins the game.
I guaran-****ing-tee you that this thought NEVER entered his mind on that series.
The playcalls and play design scream otherwise.
It sucks, but with this defense, and now special teams screwing up, we will be in tight football games.
Games where you're supposed to be able to lean on a coach and trust him to know what the **** needs to happen to win that game.
I said it before in the terrible coach thread. We are non winning ANYTHING of substance until Andy learns situational football, or Mahomes is able to put 60 up on everyone to make the situations inconsequential.
Andy Reid is not ****ing capable of applying logic and reason to tight games, late in the 4th.
This is who he is. Period. Same bullshit at the presser, we will have the same results as every other year he has coached. No Title.
Final series against Houston. Abortion of playcalling, and punted with 5 minutes left knowing his defense couldn't stop a high school team.
Final series against Green Bay. 4th n 3 at midfield with again, 5 minutes left. Punt. Never saw the ball.
Final series against Titans. A slowass play to BELL of all ****ing people on 3rd n 2 instead of a couple of rushes to gain the 2 yards to WIN THE GAME.
Its simple shit that novice Madden players can grasp, yet somehow still eludes him after two plus decades.
How you have Pat go out there and put up 446 and 3 scores and still lose the ****ing game is incomprehensie to me.
This is so right it hurts. My god how fucking pathetic. 3rd and 2. You should run it. Don't get it. Run it again. Don't get it? We'll now there's only less than a minute left. What? 30 seconds left? Don't run it, You have the leagues best tight end. One of the leagues best receivers.
Nope hold my beer Chiefs fans. Let me call a pass play to a nobody scrub instead of getting the ball to my best play makers.
Play doesn't work. Shocker. Mahomes takes a dive. He was going for the clock kill. I get it.
Then have a chance left even after the Titans score and you call a time out when the clock literally isn't ticking. LOL. What a joke. If the Titans don't get it you need a FG. If the Titans do get it. You need a FG. SO YOU DONT NEED TO CALL A TIME OUT!!!!
Once again. Hold my beer guys I'm calling a TO when there literally 23 seconds left.
Then Toub doesn't change the cadence on the snap.
Sad reality is coaching is the problem and will continue to be because well this shit is still happening in the 20 years Andy has coached.

But Andy is such an offensive genius I consider it a small price to pay. He may not get a SB, but to think he isn't partly responsible for helping Pat put up ridiculous numbers is short sighted.
You don't get to have it both ways people. [Reply]

You dipshits forget we were 1 play away from the SB last season.
You think Andy told Ford to line up offside or Scandrick to drop the INT? [Reply]
