It’s kind of annoying being considered “essential”. I have to be extra careful because I’m now the only person that leaves the house. Which means that I’m the only one that’s going to be bring that shit home. [Reply]
I homestead in rural Missouri... so I'm completely unaffected by this stay at home order outside of being more careful when I go to get groceries or gasoline for my mower and such. My work is literally out my front door and in the past 6 months I have had contact with neighbors exactly 3 times.
I'm set even if this goes on for another 3-6 months. [Reply]
Joining the full time work from home crowd this week.... basically went from essential to not-super-essential after expanding the policy late last week.
I already work a decent amount from home, just not full time, and always from the couch... getting a home office setup and will have to get some routines down. [Reply]

Yeah and it makes it worse that I’m around the public. A majority of people are staying at home but some people are taking this opportunity to try and do shit because places are dead and they’re off of work. Fucking idiots. [Reply]

Already have my lessons done a few days before they are needed.
Up at 7:30. Make coffee.
Clock in. Post the lesson
Walk on treadmill (new for me)
Shower
Eat
Sit back at computer and do work needed.
As of now I have about 80% checking in each class. Which is possible more than what is really checked in on a typical day.
I am trying to get them to give a summary of what they learned. Some get it, some just click the box.
You lucky bastards are taking everyone of these kids back the second schools are open. If there is a god you'll get them for 10-12 hours a day.:-) [Reply]

still praying they close us for the rest of the year [Reply]
got the mower out for the first time of the year and mowed yesterday. didn't really need it, but it gave me something to do. neighbor and his doctor wife from 3/4 mile down the road came walking by and he tossed a beer bottle in the yard and waved as they went by. it was full and hit the spot.:-)
sec [Reply]
Interesting to read about what everyone is doing during all this.
For myself nothing much has changed and now that I think about it, it has sort of improved. I go to work and secure the same building which now has very few people. I seem to be on the computer most of the day at work. No traffic. My wife is home now though but she has taken to making my lunch, dinners and other things.
My first kid is due in early August and I hope this whole thing has blown over by then.
People in the Bay Area are really paranoid about all this. Stay safe everyone. [Reply]

People were trained for years and years that going to work when sick and sucking it up was an admirable trait, it's hard to break. [Reply]
