Nzoner's Game Room>***The Official MMA Thread***

Excited about an upcoming fight? Want to make predictions, or just give people a heads-up that there are some fights on? We can do it here.

(Also a good place to complain, dicuss, and agrue about the outcomes)

I am so happy. Ronda Rousey is a fucking unlikable bitch. Her criticism of Tate was mostly undeserved, and Rousey was generally a talented but thoroughly unlikable person.

If this ultimately leads to the rise of Meisha Tate, that would be awesome.

"Literally" is one of the most overused words in the English Dictionary, so I don't say this lightly. Ronda Rousey is literally the most overrated athlete (not just fighter) of this generation. She's spent the last few years fighting gas station attendants off the street with zero MMA experience. She just got annihilated by an exclusive boxer with a bare cupboard of martial arts.

She's done for. The legend is over. Tyson was able to redeem himself by beating other elite heavyweights. There is nothing for Rousey. The curtain has been pulled back, and the whole world knows it.

If she was aflash in the pan, she'll fade but if she has the heart, she will pu the time in to work on her standup and come back a better fighter.

Her fight with Tate was pretty intense...not all of her bouts have been easy knock outs.

The possibilities are endless. Rousey was getting stale. If you were cynical, you might think this is when you shake it up.

How so? People might check out the rematch then what? They had a lot in Rousey and her crossover appeal. Losing like that destroys her value as Hamas pointed out.

Ronda had a single-minded pride-driven dumb focus to strike with Holm. Go watch previous fights when Rousey was happy to settle with a submission, and it looks a lot different from this bullshit Ronda was participating in tonight.

Who was elite that he beat? Ruddock?

I hope its career ending. If she gets with a new coach who is able to get her to recognize what her true talents are, then Rousey could once again strangle some interesting prospects with dumb sudden gimmick armbars.

Ruddock twice. Peter McNeeley at the time. Even Alex Stewart right after the Buster Douglas upset was considered a strongly equal opponent. It certainly wasn't the peak of the HW division, but there was a lot of talent that could have beaten Tyson on any given night. Difference being, he was the best of the best. If Rousey fought Cyborg, a coroner would have to be on the scene.

She's a cash cow who has run out of milk. This is the part where she solely focuses on Hollywood and bikini magazine spreads.
