Thanks!

I know. Just giving the CDC numbers, which are only updated once a day.

According to the page below, cases with "onset of illness" ranging from 3/10 (ish) to 3/16 may not yet have been reported. The section detailing the "onset of illness" dates is about 2/3 of the way down the page.

That calls into question the accuracy of the daily "total cases" number, does it not?

As testing ramps up you're going to have more confirmed cases, we shouldn't be surprised by the ramp up being as steep as it is.

As of 8am Tuesday, Houston and Harris County have closed all bars and nightclubs for the next 15 days. Restaurants will be closed to dine-in customers. Message from community leaders: Do not go out of your home unless you have to.

This is the right message.

:-) since self social distancing isn’t being widely adopted by people under 30, they’ll just take away their places to go?

Received this from an Aunt in the UK. Thought it might give a chuckle to those who find the Brits amusing:

UK Virus Alert

The British are feeling the pinch in relation to the recent virus threat and have therefore raised their threat level from “Miffed” to “Peeved.” Soon, though, the level may be raised yet again to “irritated” or even “A Bit Cross.”

The British have not been “A Bit Cross” since the blitz in 1940 when tea supplies nearly ran out.

The virus has been re-categorized from “Tiresome” to “A Bloody Nuisance.” The Last time the British issued a “Bloody Nuisance” warning level was in 1588, when threatened invasion by the Spanish Armada.
