I thought the idea behind the flu vaccine was that, even though its only 40% effective, it will prevent people from getting serious/dangerous cases if they do get it.
In theory. Not sure it's 100% guaranteed.

Qualified "yes"

https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019...-benefits.html

Based on what we know about vaccines for other diseases and early data from clinical trials, experts believe that getting a COVID-19 vaccine may also help keep you from getting seriously ill even if you do get COVID-19.

Sorry, I haven't seen any updates. The last I heard was around June.

Biden is apparently going to go over the new plan tonight (sorry, for the mention of a politician).

I remember reading in the Moderna testing that none of their vaccination group who got covid had a serious case. I don't know if that's definitive proof, but it's promising.

L.A. is requiring kids to get vaccinated before they can return to school.

I specifically remember reading that these vaccines are not recommended for children

I didn't see if they said what age but yeah, vaccines are for 16 and older

Pfizer is 16 and older
Moderna is 18 and older

Not sure how they're gonna pull that one off?

There might be some other details to it but it would not shock me in the least if this is where L.A. comes down on things.

I didn't see a lot but maybe they are saying once it is approved for "your age" you must get it? Who knows.

Here in Phoenix they have the Cardinals football stadium set up as a 24/7 vaccine center. Every appointment through January is filled. The success of the program has them opening a second mega-site while they work on getting 800 pharmacies set up to vaccinate. Rolling it out in stages. They are on stage 1B now.

Is it ever possible for you to include a link with your info?

Just the other day someone asked you for a source and you said "a guy I know who would never lie"

None of the vaccines are even recommended for children. No way that's true. #petethings

Actually I said "the person" because it wasn't a guy. Secondly I don't create links for my personal conversations. Thirdly Google is your friend.
