We don't really have one of these yet, so figured we could use this as a place to discuss potential free agent acquisitions and what we would like to look for them to bring in.
If any of you guys are interested, heres a good place to do some research.
I'm told free agent LB Preston Smith is going to Green Bay on a 4-year deal worth $52M. $16M fully guaranteed at signing. Smith choices came down to the #Colts and the #Packers, per source.

What the hell is Ballard holding it for?
He’s got this agenda where he wants nobody who might disturb their perfect culture, probably doesn’t wanna ever overspend.... blah blah blah.
Like I said, have fun getting run out of the building when January comes around because no one can name a single player on your defense. [Reply]

as far as Bell - he'll absolutely get a deal done, I'm thinking the sum of the expense is the issue, far and away - and simply put - GM's are figuring out the money to get him signed. [Reply]
Make sure you remember this conversation in November when the Chiefs are pushing for the playoffs and Mr. Franchise is riding an exercise bike on the sidelines. [Reply]

Just talked to a team that is convinced if someone makes the Giants the right offer, Beckham will be traded and Beckham has a very short list of where he wants to go.
I think best case scenario, you get a 2nd for Ford, use that money to pick up about 3 defensive vet players. Guys who you know will make the 53, could potentially start, but if nothing else provide great depth and leadership.

on @nflnetwork just now @MikeGarafolo said he believes the Texans are out on Earl Thomas. They were out bid by the Chiefs on Tyrann Mathieu and Kareem Jackson is heading to Denver. Their secondary lost the two players led their defense in snaps.
