From the rumors, they were having problem getting this game funded fully after the lack of profits last game.
So MS gave them a shit ton of money for a timed exclusive, not sure how long. But they are making sure that they are the only one with it coming out during christmas. So maybe 3 to 6 months.
Do timed exclusives suck? hell yes. But both sides do it. I would be more pissed about the Destiny exclusive content. To me that shit is worse. So we get to pay the same amount for 20% less game? But then you give us all the extra content after one full year?
Most people will never see it, the average online gamer plays a game for 5 to 6 months. [Reply]

See, I don't know if I believe that. Why didn't they announce "only on xbox" back at e3 when the game was announced then. I would guess that this deal happened in the last month or so even though it was probably being actively developed on both consoles already. [Reply]

No idea, I am not a fan of the style of games, limited playthrough to me and not worth the money. Generally I wait til those games are 20bucks and them buy them. And do not play them half the time. [Reply]

I guess I just don't see the point. The only extra money they are potentially going to get from the deal is from the people that have both systems and want the game so bad that they'll cave and buy it from MS, if they intended to buy it on PS4.
No one is going to go out and spend $500+ to get a new Xbone and the game.
Then again, I haven't bought a game on release or even within the first few months of release since Diablo 3, and that was the first game I had bought in years... been playing a bunch of ftp games. [Reply]
