Thanks to everyone's help here, I have decided to climb off my crazy 2080 ledge.
It would have been fun to hear your first-hand accounts of the Turing adventure. I can’t help but think though that this is the right move for now as we watch to see how things shake out. [Reply]
A lot of good information in there.
*62% of Steam users have 1080 monitors, 3% 1440, 1% 4K
*FPS dropped by ~half with the 2080. What's the cause?
*It will still be a whole before games, etc., catch up to the 2080 cards to the point it's practical to own one
*Ray Tracing graphics are going to be a noticeable step up [Reply]
Bought my first console today. Hard transition form M/K to a damned controller. Hard to control, takes away from the immersion, IMO. I feel like a dildo. [Reply]

But in all honesty a lot of games i would prefer on the computer for control reasons, but i play on the console for ease. [Reply]

I feel like I just read an article that MS has officially made the Xbox compatible with M/K.
Honestly, I use my Xbox controller for half the games I play on PC. [Reply]

THey did, but the game developer has to support it, so its not like plug it in and use for anything. Right now I think there are only a few games, warframe being the main one, that are planning on M+K support. [Reply]

2080 is not a step up from 1080ti.. its just 1080ti performance but with the ability to do RTX, which at this point, is only a novelty imo, since it crushes your frames. [Reply]
