So I'm curious. We all know that she completely screwed up this story. She violated journalistic ethics and she confused news reporting with editorializing. It blew up in her face badly.
She's also young, and I suspect that young reporters aren't getting a lot of training in the current journalism environment. I've also seen rumblings that the wife's family was specifically targeting her for reporting since they knew that she was inexperienced.
Can she recover from this debacle? If so, what would she have to do? If she made a complete heartfelt apology to Tyreek, to the Chiefs, to the fans, and to the city, and thoroughly spelled out her screwups in a way that we all know that she learned something, could she move forward and become a credible journalist in this city at some point? Or was this mistake fatal, and she needs to move to Milwaukee or Sarasota and begin writing technical use manuals for smart phones? [Reply]

I'm outside the metro area, so I only hear about these people in passing. I don't see the everyday machinations of the local media.
Absolutely needs to.
Will she? Absolutely not. None of them will. None of them have shown an ounce of remorse, regret or anything resembling a statement that they need to do a better job for their readers.
Even KK didn't apologize. Why would anyone else?
I'll just have to make a giant meme where they get theirs. [Reply]

Highly doubtful IMHO, here's why:
Journalistic ethics dont appear to exist for those who as you said are "young".
She also went after a black man with preconceived notions based on what can only be perceived as racist now.
And not to be shallow but she is just too large to garner that support youd see from someone more put together. Its just how it is. [Reply]

For the clicks.
Yep..The Star sent a reporter down there and everyone shunned them. Wouldn't answer doors...waitresses wouldn't talk.
I remember reading that they essentially said 'we dont trust the media".
They tried to milk this farce for all they could...to the point of attempting to dig up dirt where he grew up.
They SUCK...hard.
People need to quit rationalizing what they did...they tried to monetize the destruction of his career...which they instigated. [Reply]

I dont think so...this was about as ****ed up a stunt as a local beat writer could pull.
KC is too small for people to forget...maybe in Chicago or another city where they have a lot of things going on. Chiefs are the biggest thing in that town...
She's also new...and not local. Hell of a way to introduce yourself...sabotage their superstar WR in a SB push...then write a DV hit-piece on their $100 mil DE.
Rosen's head should definitely roll...he was the one who green-lighted the story. Brooke took the opportunity to inject veiled racism into it when they thought he was guilty...there was not an objective opinion during that initial witch-hunt. [Reply]

WTF? What purpose does this kind of comment serve? Can we grow up a little bit? [Reply]
Racism is the attack to use here, everyone knows that she's fat. Everyone should point to the racist comma comment. Labeling her as a racist will destroy her.
