Took some pictures out a the CureSearch Walk for Childrens Cancer at Arrowhead yesterday, and tried my hand at HDR afterwards... I don't think it came out too badly... Going to post a higher res in case anyone wants a copy then feel free to take it. I apologize if it slows down the thread some... If it slows it down too much, let me know and i'll put a smaller version up.
I bought Photomatix Light and have been messing around with taking some HDR photos. I really like the results. I probably went a bit toward the crazy end on some of these but what the hell lol.
A few from Cooke City this weekend. I only got a chance to ride for 2 hours. My wife ended up getting sick, so we had to drive home. But it was a great two hours. I ran into a grouse that thought it was a Labrador. Out of the blue, this thing comes out of a ridge and walked right up to me. The thing would follow me around like a puppy. I have a great video of it following me as well, but it's 25MB, so no posting it here.
A shot of a big bison. We were riding a trail and about to round a corner right where he was at. We kept going forward. We turned around and I sent my wife down the trail abour 500 yards. I went around again to get the shot from about 50 feet, with my ATV running pointed away. I knew if I pissed him off, I could out run him. Just after I took the shots some dumbass came around the corner on his ATV and drove within 7 feet. The bison tried to kick him and wheeled around and threw his head at him. :-)
The dude let out a scream like a 9 year old girl and hauled ass. As he flew by me, all I could do was laugh.
