That's okay. We have all preseason to get the punt return game figured out.
Really would like to see him in the slot with our starters this preseason. [Reply]
Okay so it sounds like:
- Hill, Watkins and Kelce looked phenomenal
- Pringle, Blake Bell and then Rashad Davis all looked good and made great plays [Reply]

I really wish we’d keep Tyreek back there to return punts. The injury risk doesn’t seem significant enough to override the massive effect he has in field position. [Reply]

Smith was one of the highest graded returners in the league last year; I just don’t think the risk is worth it. [Reply]

I do wish that we would put him back there at the end of games when we need a big return to set up a game winning drive. At least force them to kick it away from him. You might even get them to accidentally shank a punt or kick off out of bounds. [Reply]

Shit, I wish we’d blitz him of the edge on critical passing downs if for no other reason than to fuck with the QB or have them waste a TO. [Reply]
Although we ended up tying the game, I’ll never agree with the decision in the fourth quarter of the AFCCG - down 3 - to have Tyreek Hill anywhere but returning kicks. There are times when the cost/benefit analysis clearly shakes out in favor of using him more in these situations, even though Smith was obviously more than serviceable in that role during the season.
