Nzoner's Game Room>2019 Free agency Thread
O.city 03:24 PM 02-05-2019
We don't really have one of these yet, so figured we could use this as a place to discuss potential free agent acquisitions and what we would like to look for them to bring in.

If any of you guys are interested, heres a good place to do some research.

The fuck? Speaks was clearly drafted with this 43 transition in mind so looking at what he did with his hand in the dirt he'll be adequate, Nnadi performed about as well as you can expect for a 1st year DL, O'Daniel was serviceable when called upon, and Watts was hurt.

3 of those 4 have shown tremendous promise.

There’s a massive group of safeties available in free agency, and the Chiefs could wait for the next wave of signings, and potentially sign a impact player on an affordable contract. Here’s a look at some of the names still out there:

Earl Thomas
Tyrann Mathieu
Tre Boston
LaMarcus Joyner
Tashaun Gipson
Johnathan Cyprien
Adrian Amos
HaHa Clinton-Dix
Kenny Vaccaro
Adrian Phillips
Darian Stewart
Marcus Gilchrist
Antoine Bethea
Andrew Sendejo

Amos is the best combo of skill and youth at safety, according to PFF.

Still think he probably ends up in Denver.

Nnadi was a first year starter and Smith was one of the best kick returners in the league. If Speaks and DOD take a step forward this year, Veach knocked the 2018 draft out of the park.

Raiders among teams to exhibit interest in Cardinals DE Markus Golden, source said. D-line coach Brenston Buckner was with him in Arizona from 2015-17. Golden had 12 1/2 sacks in 2016. Raiders have one DE under contract for 2019 (Arden Key). No deal imminent at this time.

Especially considering the lack of picks.

I’m not sure many GMs would have done better as a whole given the hand he was dealt.

And the forgotten man with maybe the most upside is Khalil McKenzie. I still think he has high end starter potential at G or C.
