With a heavy heart, I tell you that my father, Donald Sutherland, has passed away. I personally think one of the most important actors in the history of film. Never daunted by a role, good, bad or ugly. He loved what he did and did what he loved, and one can never ask for more… pic.twitter.com/3EdJB03KKT
Donald Sutherland, the Canadian actor who became a countercultural icon with such films as “The Dirty Dozen,” “MASH,” “Klute” and “Don’t Look Now,” has died. He was 88. https://t.co/55BZHxFFMjpic.twitter.com/ZxpXsL6czF

Same here. He had so many great characters, but that's always the first one I think of.
I have a t-shirt with a picture of him from that movie on it. Around the picture it says "Oddball for President - Don't hit me with them negative waves." :-) [Reply]

I remember being surprised by that as well, just a long time ago. :-)
If you know they're father and son, you can see some facial similarities, but they're subtle. I'm guessing Kiefer must favor his mom in the looks department. It's not like looking at Jake Busey and instantly realizing without even knowing his name that he must be Gary Busey's son. [Reply]
R.I.P. He was a wonderful actor! Funny as hell in Kelly's Heroes! Funny as hell in MASH! Loved him in Invasion of the Body Snatchers. Did a great in The Hunger Games. He could play any role and did it well. [Reply]
