I get his numbers are good but I've got people on ESPN saying he'll be a top 3 QB by the end of next year...fansided saying he should be an MVP candidate right now when his team has 3 wins...

We may not be crowning him but MANY are. That was the whole point of this thread. There's talking heads out there saying he's a top 5 QB and deserves MVP votes.
Come on, man.
He's a top 10 QB THIS season.
I don't know where he'll be next season, but right now, he's top 10. Yeah, that deserves praise, and based on what we've seen, there's far more reason to believe than not. [Reply]
Sorry, but i don't. I think you're a good evaluator, therefore i'm baffled why you choose to die on this hill. My only explanation is that you aren't really fully evaluating these games and Herbert in the context of the games. [Reply]
I want to see him perform consistently in year 2, 3... then I will have an opinion. Remember last year some experts thought Drew Lock was the real deal? [Reply]

I think the only way Herbert finds REAL success, not just be a flashy, talented guy, but actually translate talent to wins, is to fire that whole coaching staff and rebuild that offense to something more modern. [Reply]
The dude is on pace for over 4,000 yards and 35 TDs as a rookie with a stooge of a HC and decent-but-not-great weapons (Williams hasn't produced that much, Allen has been great, Henry decent to good, their RBs are replacement level) when people thought he needed a redshirt year.

Who said anything about top 10?
Of course he's a top 10 QB this season. But so is Tom Brady and Philip Rivers.
Good God man.
People are talking about him being TOP FIVE and an MVP candidate. That's where I have an issue. You're moving the goalposts. [Reply]
