It appears the Chiefs have signed Spencer Ware, who played the 3 previous seasons in KC. Ware posted this on his Instagram account a few minutes ago. pic.twitter.com/ydJftRzK5L
We need a 3rd RB, and preferably one that already knows how to pass block for Mahomes. The other guys can carry the ball as far as I'm concerned. Let him be a threat between the tackles and BLOCK. [Reply]
One thing I always liked about Ware was he was extremely consistent carry to carry. If he's anything like his old self this would be a key signing and make our rotation complete. I'm down. [Reply]

Where does this thinking come from? This isn't the offseason. There aren't going to be many all stars sitting around at home right now - especially who already know the offense. [Reply]
Spencer Ware played in 13 games for the Chiefs last season. He is 28 years old and has career stats of 40 games, 340 attempts for 1,580 yards rushing, 59 receptions for 676 yards receiving, and 13 total TDs. In 2016 when he started 14 games, he had 4 fumbles.
The Chiefs could have tried to keep him in the offseason and chose to let him move on with the Colts.
Spencer would know the team and the coaches and could join in the running back by committee group.
If KC needs another back, I guess sign him up, [Reply]
