I will say that since we don't get the characters inner thoughts that this version of the story is a lot more subtle than the book. Except for Yabushige, that actor is really expressive and you almost don't need subtitles to get what he is saying and feeling. [Reply]
I've been watching these on-demand, but which night of the week does it actually air?
edit* Never mind, I'll be there on wednesday nights from here on out... this is the kind of appointment tv cable subscribers have been badly needing since Yellowstones ugly demise [Reply]

Didn't realize the whole series didn't get uploaded at once. I haven't watched since the third episode, but I may sit on it until it's all available. That's what I'm doing with Masters of the Air. Damn zoomer attention span... [Reply]

Cable on-demand has 4 episodes up, so thats as far as it goes until wednesday night apparently
But yeah loving this show, in a word its immersive [Reply]
If they wanted to keep the same actors, they would probably adapt Gai-Jin next. Tai-pan and Noble House deal with Hong Kong. Whirlwind deals with Iran and King Rat would have mostly English and American actors. [Reply]
