About to hit the 5000 post mark on the old thread, the first season 7 trailer today seems like the right time to start the final Game of Thones thread.
I'm going back to the original rules pre-2015. I don't think we need supervision or bannings. Just don't be a dick. Post anything you find online that hasn't aired yet inside of spoiler tags. That's pretty much it. I think we can all handle that...
That was even worse than I expected, and I knew exactly what was going to happen.
I'm just...I'm so disappointed. It's not even worth explaining why. Anybody who doesn't already understand how wrong that whole episode was in every possible way, just...fine, enjoy it. I'm done. [Reply]

They really, really needed a different end to Season 7 if this was her arc.
Like, sex with Jon is as well and good. But she should have never wavered from demanding Jon to Bend the Knee. Refused to send her armies north unless Jon did. Hell, she should have been the one to proclaim to Cersei that Jon had pledged to her.
Exploring her vulnerability and hinting at a pregnancy and then spinning to this in 5 episodes was. Yeah. [Reply]
I never thought a show could fall this far from grace. The last two seasons have been an utter disaster. Beloved characters and their development going up in flames. Time to lead it out back and bring the shotgun. Put her down for good. I AM here though for the people attempting to defend this season. [Reply]
Goddamn, am I glad I spoiled this for myself. Now instead of being irritated with the horrific writing and character arcs we've spent 8 seasons building up being completely undone I'm taking great enjoyment in watching everyone else react to this shit show while I just watch and laugh. The episode was also extremely entertaining in a perverse sort of way. [Reply]

Yeah, I don't fully hate where we are, honestly. I can buy a compelling ending with Dany going psycho. They just went from "I'm just here to free the slaves and don't want to do anything to hurt the people" to "burninating the peasants" without really setting it up other than "oh, she's looking a little psycho right now."
It is what it is. In a way I don't hate it just because it's an interesting twist of sorts. But whatever. [Reply]
At the end of ADWD, it’s clear that Dany is choosing the path of Fire and Blood.
After Season 6 - they had the chance to plot that arc out. So what exactly did they do to get that started in the 7 hours of screen time they had in Season 7? [Reply]

No it won't because he'll never release more than one more book, IF THAT. And good luck to any poor sucker trying to finish the series so the estate can cash in. [Reply]
Lets go back to how stupid it was for Cersi to not send the Iron Fleet to besiege Dragonstone and simply starve Dany into submission or death. Makes no sense. [Reply]
