I just saw Chuck Pagano went to the Bears. He was a terrible head coach at Indy but a great DC when the Ravens won SB 47. Greg Williams went to the Jets, so Marvin Lewis and Rex Ryan look to be the most experienced who need a job. Marvin was the Ravens DC when they set the defensive record allowing only 165 points in a 16 game season. Can you imagine the Chiefs with that kind of defense, they would become the next Patriots dynasty. Rex is no slouch when it comes to defense (in the words of Chevy Chase, you're a tremendous slouch), he left before SB 47, but the Ravens were a very good defense under him in the 2000's, that's how he got the Jets job. They need a defense to go with their offense.
NFL is changing, just as Reid changes his playcalling to accommodate Alex Smith then to Patrick Mahomes and a high flying offense, our new D Coordinator has to change the style to match the player strengths. [Reply]
Andy prefers buffets over hurting, so he might need some prodding... I'm sure he's telling them that, "If not Bob, who?" to delay doing the deed. Just like a kid asking about the details of the needle, how ling it'll be in their arm, and to discuss the effects to delay getting the shot... [Reply]

Because you know how Andy feels, having been an NFL head coach for nearly 20 years and all. [Reply]

I agree. It's a new offensive era and an old defense mindset (e.g., Sutton) will not make the grade. We need someone that can recognize the talent that we have and design a defensive scheme that can use those player attributes to their greatest potential. Dropping Dee Ford back in coverage is akin to making Christian Okoye a wide receiver. That's just one example of Sutton's freaking stupidity. [Reply]

I don't know if he'd come but I'd go to Clemson and ask Brent Venables what he wants... [Reply]
