We all have varying opinions about the impact of this, the numbers, etc. We will all never agree with each other. But we can all keep it civil.

Thanks!

I dont' remember exactly, but I "THINK" influenza tends to have high viral tighters about 36 hours before symptoms.

Aerosols are actually droplets. So you have droplet transmission vs true airbone via just breathing out.

Droplet spread isn't able to spread as widely and profusely because of the size of the droplet.

This new saliva-based COVID-19 test, developed by researchers at Washington University (@wustl), is a major development in testing technology and will help us continue to increase testing volumes and improve turnaround time for test results.

So what how is "airborne" transmission accomplished?

It's all about the size of the droplet, IIRC.

Small "aerosols' are gonna travel farther. So it's one of those technicality things.

It won't be to much longer I don't think. I have done this since March so I am getting used to it. :-) Plus the football season is starting up so that will keep me occupied.

That was the big worry early with dental practicies since every time we drill or use any rotary tool, we create aerosols.

The place here I was talking about...I don't know all of the other specifics but I know of a husband and wife who both presented symptoms during their shift. Protocol was supposed to be to send them to the local emergency testing tent at the local hospital and proceed from there but instead they were told to "get back to work". They were also told that they were expected to report for their shift the next day "or else".

At one point, this place had 170 of the 270 cases in our county and while I don't know how many came from those 2 people, I'm sure they weren't the only 2 that weren't allowed to leave under threat of being fired.

Of course, this place has been sued and/or fined a few dozen times for various OSHA, Health Dept, and other violations. The work that they do makes people sick, it's a known thing around town. They bring people on under a 90-day probation period and when they get sick, they conveniently let their 90 days expire and send them on their way. They've already burned through most of the locals and now they're bringing in people from places like sub-Saharan Africa and putting those people through it.

The volunteers produced neutralizing antibodies, which researchers believe are necessary to build immunity to the virus, and killer T-cells, Moderna said in its results, which have not yet been published in a peer-reviewed journal. Additionally, the antibodies that were produced were higher than those seen in people who have recovered from Covid-19.

Surprised there hasn't been more talk about the new CDC guidelines released last night in here.
