Confirmed, per source, Chiefs WR Tyreek Hill had a posterior SC (sternoclavicular) dislocation which was successfully reduced in the hospital. No surgery required. He will stay overnight.
The only reason he would to the IR would be that the Chiefs medical staff says he's gonna be down for 7-8 weeks before he can come back. If they say down a month then "week to week depending" he stay active so he can be back after 6 if cleared. [Reply]
Chiefs’ Tyreek Hill stayed overnight in Jacksonville with his sternoclavicular subluxation but he’s arriving in KC shortly and doing better, per sources. No word yet on length of absence.

He will probably be out this week but he ain't missing much time I don't think.
As tough as they come. Still, better to use caution here and make sure he's fully healed. Gonna need him. A " healthy & fresh" Tyreek, when back, will be a real difference maker. [Reply]

Well, unless the "designated to return" version also allows a player to be called up from the practice squad for the period of time he's out. Then it might make sense, and help the D.
Reek's Spirit wants to be out there right ****ing now. [Reply]

As you said though, it isn’t a lower body injury. Once he’s cleared, it won’t affect how productive he is. Maybe he’s a little shy about taking big hits after, but that’s probably a good thing.
It’s really just a freak accident. I don’t see this changing anything long term for him. [Reply]
