This might be the toughest year yet for this. I can see so many different possibilities, especially considering that I think there's a solid chance the Chiefs trade up.

Edit: It's draft day and I'm changing my pick!

There's way too much smoke about the Chiefs trading up and/or them targeting a LT. I'm going with a guy that I think could make it into our range, who also has the kind of upside that would have Veach itching to make a move to go get him.

Some heavy smoke in this draft rumor. Is OT Kingsley Samitai(whatever) Veach's guy? I'd be surprised if Veach tipped his hand this heavy but that's what makes it the draft.

But I'd be fine with any LT. This talk of giving away the future to move up for a receiver is crazy to me. The hit/miss variance is just too high. Get the surest thing in the first and continue to take second round swings at WR.

Actually if you do the variance between like 27-37 WR's hit at a better rate than OT's do.

If you look at who they visited with I don't see 1st round WR's.

It's looking more and more like the draft is going to start like this:

1. Caleb
2. Daniels
3. Maye
4. MHJ

And then the draft really starts at 5 with the Chargers. Sounds like they are leaning OT (fingers crossed).

Said this on @PatMcAfeeShow and I’ll say it again bc doing a “final” Mock Draft becomes difficult.

I’m thinking there could be 10 trades or more in tomorrow’s first round.

Maybe not at the top, but once we get to that 5-6-7-8-9-10 range, it sounds like things could get wild.

No doubt Donovan Smith was a bandaid last year and it appears his body has hit that point where he can't stay healthy. If the tackle class is as good as what they're saying then the time is now. I'm good with it.

I'd prefer not to just reach on someone just because.

Once you get past the top couple of guys you aren't guaranteed anything.
