I have to call just a slight amount of BS on this. The Lady doctor referenced decades of evidence of children spreading every other "respiratory virus". There have been more and more studies showing this is not respiratory but rather it is vascular. Thus the reason kids are not impacted and adults are which as I understand it is the complete opposite of typical respiratory infections.

And given the top underlying causes it does seem to be that this is a vascular disease. High blood pressure. Heart disease. Obesity. Diabetes. These are all vascular issues.

Is COVID-19 a vascular or respiratory disease?

Damaged endothelial cells set off runaway inflammation, and promote blood clot formation. That can explain the odd mix of diseases from heart attacks, strokes, to lung damage, and even COVID toes. It could also account for the high mortality in people with pre-existing conditions like high blood pressure, diabetes, and high cholesterol, all diseases known to impact endothelial cells.

This is a lengthy article/blog but very good. I encourage you to read it.

Basically, we still don't know enough about this to draw conclusions to either side with children. I do think they transmit this virus less than you'd expect though, and certainly less than adults (that's pretty clear).

Yep they were discussing transmissions by kids. As the lady doctor said, kids get covid and transmit covid but what is not known is how much they transmit.

Thanks for the link I will take a look.

Regardless of how much kids under the age of 10 transmit it, kids over 10 and definitely teenagers seem to transmit just as much as adults.

However, scientists at home and abroad have been sounding the alarm that the rush to start using the vaccine before Phase 3 trials — which normally last for months and involve thousands of people — could backfire.

Speaking at a government meeting Tuesday, Putin said that the vaccine has undergone proper testing and is safe.

“I know it has proven efficient and forms a stable immunity, and I would like to repeat that it has passed all the necessary tests,” he said. “We must be grateful to those who made that first step very important for our country and the entire world.”

The Russian leader added that one of his two adult daughters has received two shots of the vaccine. “She has taken part in the experiment,” Putin said.

Ages 6-13: this age group will get the worst symptoms, ie hospitalizations

Ages 13-above: transmit and receive just like adults

Also he pointed out that since this is a coronavirus just like the cold, kids are the main transmitters of both colds and flu so you can expect the same with covid.

Some good news an Infectious Disease Doctor from the Mayo clinic is talking about his study and their finding that current vaccines is contributing to the asymptomatic people.
So this Dr has solid evidence that goes completely against what almost everyone else in the world is saying. Got it.

New Zealand has 4 new cases from a family with no history of travel. So the whole "we squashed it" is kinda off the table.

Yep. On the other hand, if it works, it'll be nice to have a huge trial of it before the rest of the world tries it. :-)

More people die every year in vending machine accidents than Shark attacks.

Antibody test was negative. Not terribly surprised, but was kind of hoping it would come back positive.
