Post here. Pertinent free agent signings can still have their own thread. Anyone who replies with a Q, because something is buried in this thread should blah blah AIDS tree. [Reply]
I think Sammy is an ideal fit for Green Bay. They're probably not interested in trading all that much, but I'm sure they'd throw a mid-lower round pick, which is certainly better than nothing if you're the Chiefs. [Reply]
The @dallascowboys don’t believe there is disrespect aspect to decision to place tag on Dak Prescott. Team sources insist again they have offered Dak more than Wentz & Goff. Difference has been length - team wanted 5 yr extension and Dak wanted 4 yr. Dak still hanging tough .

The Chiefs have no cap space. You are right in that immediate moves need to be re-structures, extensions or cut/releases. I expect only minor 2nd/3rd wave free agent acquisitions. No cap, especially with no movement on Jones.
So create some cap space by cutting him.
It’s not all big fish free agents being picked up today. There’s a blend of talent going off the board.
There’s no reason to hold onto Watkins right now if they know they’re just going to cut him. [Reply]
The #Patriots are signing WR Damiere Byrd to a one-year deal source says. Coming off a 32-catch season with the #Cardinals. This is where I usually say, "And his next pass will be from Tom Brady" but, ya know...

I could be mistaken, but I think I read that if we wait to cut him after June 1st, we could spread his dead money out over 2 years? Or some such thing. [Reply]
