Travis Kelce reached a top speed of 19.68 mph on his 22-yard reception to set up the Chiefs' game-tying field goal, Kelce's fastest speed as a ball carrier over the last seven seasons.#SuperBowlLVIII | #ChiefsKingdompic.twitter.com/2R3b6kbNjJ

You can see it. Like that long 20mph video, I remember being surprised to NOT see one of Kelce's famous hurdles over the defender. [Reply]

So how long before you start proposing Hollywood trade scenarios? [Reply]

Oh, basically that he follows OU and Baker got the #1 overall draft spot because he was throwing to CeeDee Lamb and Hollywood Brown, and then Brown goes to the Ravens and he led all receivers there in Jackson's 1st MVP year.
And then that Brown runs a 4.27 40, and on and on and on.....:-) [Reply]

It's the 2019 offense with a worse Tyreek but a better Sammy.
Maybe nearer the 2022 offense with a better JJSS, better MVS and worse Kelce.
The 2024 defenses aren't going to give us the kind of space down the field that offenses did in '18 and '19. But we'll see similar looks to 2022 and I think we've figure out how to deal with those. [Reply]

It's the moves he doesn't try to make anymore that show he's learning to deal with aging a bit.
When he gets in the open field, he's not going to try to plant that foot and cut as often as he once did. He runs straight and finishes the run for another couple of yards after contact.
It's like watching late-stage Marcus Allen. Dude wasn't looking to make anyone miss because he knew his joints weren't up for the task. But he'd still do a little shimmy, brace himself and drive through you for a little bit more yardage.
Kelce's gonna be good; great in fact - but he's gonna be on a bit of a snap count and he's not gonna be the guy he was from about 2017 through 2022. [Reply]
