I don't think that Peyton will play the rest of the season.

He wants to play next year, and needs to heal fully. Why would he want to risk further injury or sabotage his chances at next season by playing like ass for a franchise that doesn't give a shit about him?

It's Brock, or another backup the rest of the year IMO.

He will go to Cleveland? Maybe Jets?

Warm city, probably domed.

Houston, just like he should have did before going to Denver.

He would have probably won a superbowl with Houston.

Kubiak didn't want him. Because he had Matt Schaub and he fit his "system"

Awesome HC hire, Elway.

The Jets would be an interesting pick.

No way that Manning goes to the Jets.

Cold, windy stadium.

I don't know why the Jets would change what they have at this point, not for 40 year old Manning. The pickings will be slim for Peyton.

New Orleans? There's talks of this being Payton's last year there, and if he leaves Brees may be following him. That would leave the Saints with a gaping hole to fill and there wouldn't really be any QBs on the market that would return them to contender-worthy status again. Why not let Peyton finish his career in a dome, chase the last few career records he hasn't accomplished yet, playing for the team he watched his dad play for during his childhood. The crowd would adore him the entire time he was there. It's not like they have a shot at the division the next few years anyways.

Meanwhile, N.O. can eliminate Brees' salary and work on rebuilding the roster from the damage that the years of dishing out ridiculous contracts did to the teams overall depth/talent. At the same time, every home game would be sold out because it would essentially be Peyton's "Kobe/Jeter farewell" season. May not seem that realistic, but I just don't see a contending team being willing to let Peyton start for them next year, and he may have to settle for a lesser team if he really wants to remain a starter. Plus, he'd pretty much run the entire show there if he went with a new coach. Hell, he may even take over as player-coach at some point and just transition into HC once he retires.

Wow, what happened to Cutler?

And how can you be rated lower than Matt Cassel? They may need to double-check some math.

As for Osweiler, he's only going to go down as teams get film on him.

Now, that's an interesting scenario... indeed.

Yep. Figured that is where he'll go. In fact, some friends and I were talking about that this past weekend. We figured Brees would end up in Denver and Manning in New Orleans or Houston.

Regarding Houston - Wholesale changes could be in the near future. Rumors are circulating that Billy O just might be leaving the Texans for the Maryland gig and there are STILL those (idiots) who talk about "what could have been" had Manning signed with the Texans instead of the Cheating Donx back in the Kube's era. The Texans are a veteran group with an aging core and very easily could sell Manning, as a savior, to the fan base based on who they have suited up at QB the past several seasons. (Schaub, Rosenfels, Leinart, Yates, Keenum, Fitzpatrick, Mallett, Hoyer, Savage, Mallett again, Hoyer again, Yates again, Weeden) It would be a last hurrah deal for both - kind of like when Ken Stabler came to the Oilers in '79-'80. Probably wouldn't end with a playoff berth though. Manning is DONE. (As was Stabler)

Sure, why not... Manning goes home to close out where dad played, Denver snags Brees and gets 3 years younger at the QB position.

Money wise, it's a wash... hooray. Then, Denver can just keep doing this every 2-3 years, acquiring aging phenom QBs.
