It is more than obvious we are in a much better position today than we were 3 months ago on how to treat this. We still have a ways to go but we have come a long way as well.

I think the biggest thing is starting to realize this is more of a vascular disease vs. a respiratory disease has helped in the treatment.

1. Not putting everyone on a ventilator. Remember when ventilators were a major concern? Notice that they aren't anymore?
2. Remdesivir
3. Covelesant plasma
4. Dexamethasone
5. Various other drugs/treatments that are showing promise but aren't widely studied yet

Compared to - "Oh shit - we have no idea what this disease is or how to treat it"

Yeah I'd say we're in a better place.

I am going to even throw in HCQ to that list as it is still being used in cases.

I haven't seen any numbers on vents. Are you saying that doctors are more hesitant to vent someone now as opposed to before? If so, why?

Yes, some have shown promise.

Johns Hopkins weekly report says the US may be at a plateau or over the peak. Lets hope.

Race actually is part of the discussion here.

You can attempt to argue it all you want but you are going to be wrong.

Its not about race, its about culture and multi family homes. Also Hispanic is not a race.

In today's covid newsletter, we report that case counts at the national level may be plateauing or peaking. This is good news! Important to remember that we have a long way down the mountain to go, though. Sign up for our newsletter here https://t.co/fDX509EsP4

Dude, our facility is maybe 30% Hispanic and Islander (probably a 20-10 split) and around 80% of our positive cases have been Hispanic or Islander.

And a good note we are down to 1 active case from a high of 28 about 3 weeks ago.

I honestly think a lot of it is simply a lack of understanding on top of multi family households.

Doctors are delaying the use of vents more now than they were initially .

The data shows what the data shows. Some people may not like it and race isn't being used as a scapegoat.
