They say the 3 weeks gives them time to stock up on things like thermometers and sanitizer. Things they knew all summer they would need.

I suspect the Governor got bent after the KBOE approved the plan to re-open so she didn't get what she wanted and had to step in.

Different discussion and I wouldn't necessarily disagree.

Retarded and toxic line of thinking.

Or maybe you were JUST KIDDING! In that case, HA HA HA!

She has a penchant for coming in an ruling opposite of what those before her have ruled. True story.

And the KBOE I guess has to approve this order which I am sure they will.

She says they need 3 weeks to stock up on supplies. Now do you really believe that?

I don't know how it works in your state but our schools don't receive their annual budgets until sometime in early July.

With the recession, tax income has dramatically decreased, which means less funding for public schools, in addition to the fact that in Kansas, they most likely have no idea how many students are planning to opt out and do online learning this year, which would affect the number of supplies as well.

Really good news on the Oxford vaccine. Thats great.

IF they're using it in hot spots for phase III we'll have results quick.

Pretty sure that's one they're testing out in Brazil.

Have you read the entire paper?

Their vaccine isn't causing any serious health issues so far but they have no idea whether or not the vaccine in its current state will provide immunity against C-19 in humans.

They have a LONG way to go before it's deemed safe and effective.

From your article:

The vaccine candidate is already in large-scale Phase III human trials to assess whether it can protect against COVID-19, but its developers have yet to report Phase I results which would show whether it is safe and whether or not it induces an immune response.

According to the link I posted 1 down sounds like we'll get some answers in about 5 days. I may be wrong to assume, but if they weren't encouraged about what they were seeing they probably wouldn't have started a Phase 3 trial.

Holding their cards close for now - which is fine. Let's hope the Phase 1 trial data looks good.

And if they were encouraged about its ability to cause an immune response in humans, it would reported by every news agency across the globe.

There are just far too many people jumping the gun on these vaccine trials.
