Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy! [Reply]

He ultimately knows how manage to lose playoff games. [Reply]

Before he got here, when was the last time we won a playoff gm? Just curious because you are acting like we were winning a boatload of playoff games before he got here. [Reply]

I don't think anyone would deny that he has helped. The problem is he can't help enough to get us where we ultimately need to be. [Reply]

I don't want to just win games or a playoff game every twenty years. I want a franchise that can have "ultimate glory" in winning Super Bowls. Isn't that the whole idea ? We picked a player in the first round that can give us that opportunity and growth with the team for long term success. Alex Smith is on borrowed time. Why should anyone give two shits about him for beating Brian Hoyer woopty fucking do. [Reply]
Alex played his part well. We needed stability badly after a 2-14 shit hole. The culture has now been established, we've built an elite caliber team and now we've got the QB we think can take the franchise further than it has been in decades.
It's annoying hearing posters claim that this franchise can be a SB team with Alex bc the odds of that happening are impossibly low. [Reply]

Have AS lead with beating a Brian Hoyer led team on his resume and see how many teams come knocking on his door. [Reply]

He beat Drew Brees in a playoff gm when he was in SF.. It's not like Alex Smith hasn't won a playoff gm before he got here. Alex Smith should have gotten them to the SB if it wasn't for Kyle Williams muffing not one, but two punts.
I agree that we should develop an elite QB here but to act like Alex Smith is trash is ridiculous. He's a good manager who plays it safe and doesn't make a lot of mistakes. [Reply]
Alex isn't great, and he isn't bad... he is a true game manager. This is established. He limits the offense in which he plays for. Established.
That is why I look for Andy to put Mahomes in just as soon as he feels he can. While I believe that will be 2018, I can see it being sooner if the right opportunity presents itself. Andy knows that he isn't going to coach a whole lot longer, and he knows that a Super Bowl with Smith is not a probable path. [Reply]

really hoping that Mahomes isn't an eventual Kaepernick. Would somehow be painful and hilarious.. but no thanks. I greatly prefer KC stays on top.. which to me suggests.. to me.. that I am indeed a Chiefs fan. Not a home-grown one, and not permanently shackled to.. but still. :-) [Reply]

It's much more annoying to hear posters incessantly claim that Alex is the worst thing that ever happened to the proud, decorated and worldwide esteemed Chiefs tradition and that his existence is the sole impediment to a generation of unparalleled league dominance. [Reply]

Even if Mahomes busts it is okay. KC needs to find a real franchise QB. It isn't Smith. If it isn't Mahomes, you try again.
Getting mad at Smith for missing open WR's or taking the short throw on 3rd and long is fruitless. It's like getting mad at your 7 week old puppy for having an accident. Dog can't help it. [Reply]

Adamantly disagree, when Alex Only Fans defend him like he's their 1st born infant son takes the cake. [Reply]
