Don't be a dick.
Otherwise, have fun, talk shit, freak out and lose your goddamned minds. It's Draft Weekend. The hot takes in these threads are so funny. I'll also be starting player threads for each of our picks as they are made, with videos and notable stats/takes in the OP. These separate threads will be made as soon as the news breaks, outside of this thread. I will link the threads below. Pure knee-jerk gold to reference in the future.
Sounds like there is real noise behind the scenes on the @Chiefs and Amarius Mims.. They know they would have to move up to get him and they have been doing a lot of calls on him… 👀. @DawgsHQ#NFLDraft

And with Schrager being so well connected and basically a KC advocate in the media, the fact that he's saying they are going to trade up for Mims leads me to believe there is no way in living hell they plan on picking him. [Reply]

Eh. It is a Georgia insider and he's basing it on the fact the Chiefs have been doing a lot of work calling on him. Given the circumstances, that doesn't seem unreasonable. [Reply]

yeah good point. But... if I'm his agent I'm 100% floating to as many media as I can that my guy is sought after and boy oh boy don't you let KC get him!

Dead give away that it's a bullshit tweet.
Im sure the Chiefs have been making a lot of calls. But the idea that they're telling teams WHO they're calling about is total bullshit.
"Uh, hey Seahawks. We really like MIMS. You hear me? MIMS. We like that guy, and only that guy. So like, wanna trade?"
Unless I've completely misunderstood the tweet, think he means they've made a lot of calls with folks at Georgia. Which given the lack of starting time and injury history I don't see as being too farfetched. [Reply]

I read the tweet as, they know they have to move up for Mims and thus are making a lot of calls to teams regarding a potential trade up.
Any calls made to Georgia woulda been done well, well before today. [Reply]

For sure. But then again, those calls could be "hey, let's make 100% sure that this perfect LT specimen really is going to be as injury prone as it seems. He is? Okay, sad but let's move on." [Reply]
