Yeah, Toney hasn't been on the injury report the last 2 weeks and his snap counts have been low as hell. Wtf is up with that? Do they just not like him anymore? How is he getting the least amount of snaps on the team? [Reply]

Ran another really sharp quick slant that he generated another 6-8 yards through being elusive.
Can we please just run some routes with the guy? He's open when we use him. [Reply]

Giants fans said he had trouble learning the playbook there, if that's true it's most certainly an issue here as Andy's is probably 10x more complex for WRs than Daboll.
I can't think of any other reason he wouldn't be playing at this point. Unless they want to keep him healthy for the playoff run, but when other WRs are producing jack shit I have trouble believing that argument. [Reply]

But the reports last year suggested he was picking things up super fast. Makes zero sense how he's doing this year [Reply]
It's clear the game is still a little fast for this kid and his chemistry with Mahomes isn't where you'd expect at this point. Even yesterday Mahomes and Skyy had a short pass where Mahomes and Skyy were clearly not on the same page. After a year and a half it is concerning.
As for Rice it appears to be the opposite. The game is alowing down for him and he's really finding a groove in this offense. What Skyy was suppose to be really good at Rice is shining plus. On top of that Rice has an explosive aspect in his game we never expected to see in Skyy. At this point w'ee just hoping Skyy can turn into our new Albert Wilson and nothing more. [Reply]

:-) I was wondering if anyone else caught that. Hilarious visual.
In his defense, he must not have recognized it was simple cover 2 zone and thought the CB might actually be trailing him.
Not sure if him not being able to recognize the coverage actually helps or hurts his case.. [Reply]

Completely agree. The play you mentioned yesterday was supposed to be a quick out, and Skyy turned in. :-) [Reply]
I'm here to eat my crow. I was really hoping, and maybe just assuming, Skyy was going to be an impact player for us. Easy kid to root for by all appearances, but it looks like it's past time to relegate Skyy to the Marcus Kemp role.
Honestly so far the only two receivers that have shown any type of playmaking ability on a somewhat consistent basis are Watson and Rice. Even MVS is having a down year when he's had his looks or chances. Just frustrating.
Hope we have a new lineup at the position after the bye. [Reply]

It doesn't help it.
I'm particularly cognizant of shit like that because I really do see it as the biggest symptom of his issues with route running. He simply doesn't seem to understand that those false steps do him more harm than good.
And then you see him throw them in there for NO reason and you realize it's just part of his mechanics. That's gonna have to get beaten out of him over the off-season. It's not something he's even doing as part of some concerted plan to get space - it's just what he does. [Reply]
