Sources: The #Seahawks and #Chiefs are deep in talks on a trade to send star Frank Clark to KC. The compensation would include a 1st rounder, a 2020 2nd rounder and a swap of mid-rounders. To complete it, the franchise tagged player and Chiefs must hammer out a deal.

Clark's value needs to be better than Houston,Ford, and a 1st round pick.
Are you mental? Houston was going to cost $22 million or something. Dee Ford was going to coast $17 million.
A #29 pick was not going to wreck worlds right out of the gate.

Jamaal was the Chiefs' first of the three 3rd round picks. Would have likely been available at the Chiefs pick at 76. Allen was essentially traded for Albert, Morgan, and Cottam [Reply]

If you did that and drafted exactly Frank Clark, would you be satisfied with the pick?
I think most would, although I would have preferred to stay at 29. I think the contract is a big part of it in that it prevents us from using that money to acquire/keep other needed talent.
That being said, I'm ok with the trade. We still have holes to fill, though. [Reply]
