Some fun here. Edwards-Helaire rushed for 1,415 yards and 16 touchdowns as a junior .. all-purpose yards -- receiving (55 receptions, 453 yards) and kick returner (KEY) 10 returns, 214 yards pic.twitter.com/3Duq1jjy6J
Holy offense Bat Man. I love Clyde Edwards-Helaire. He is best Rb in the draft. Watkins and Hill deep. Kelce in the middle. And Edwards-Helaire underneath. Good Luck defenses.
Brett Veach told Andy Reid to watch some Clyde Edwards-Helaire film and told Reid you’ll see Brian Westbrook. Reid watched. Then got back to Veach and said he’s better than Westbrook.
Clyde Edwards-Helaire is only about 5-7 and 205, raising questions about whether he will ever be a regular featured back. The Chiefs and GM Brett Veach doesn't have those doubts.
"We certainly view this guy as a franchise-type running back,” Veach said.

Veach has earned the benefit of the doubt, everyone else is just a poster on a message board. And I don't see anyone calling him a "genius" for the pick. [Reply]
I can't imagine getting drafted by the reigning SB champs and being told on the draft call that you were the guy Patrick ****ing Mahomes wanted. [Reply]

This guy's going to run through walls for Patrick. [Reply]

Without an off season program a running back can still step in and be productive quickly.
The 5th year allows the Chiefs to keep him for 5 years and move on without dropping huge money on a RB.
How the draft ended up the best value at the time was S's, DT's or RB's
Rb's probably best fit if confident Jones is resigning. [Reply]
Green Bay did not draft an offensive skill position player in the first round during Aaron Rodgers' 15 year career until last night (which was a QBOTF).
It's great to see that Veach is not going to make that same mistake, and instead will continue to surround Mahomes with as much weaponry as possible. [Reply]
