Sources: The #Seahawks and #Chiefs are deep in talks on a trade to send star Frank Clark to KC. The compensation would include a 1st rounder, a 2020 2nd rounder and a swap of mid-rounders. To complete it, the franchise tagged player and Chiefs must hammer out a deal.
I'm still not sure what I really think of this trade yet, but how can anyone be batshit upset? The alternative to this is the Packers model (nothing but draft picks), and they've basically been a failure considering the QB play they lucked into.
And fuck comparisons to NE, they are the absolute outlier to everything. Generally speaking, it's good to be aggressive and make bold moves. Never forget we ARE "built through the draft" - Mahomes, Hill, Kelce, Jones - but it's really hard to do it all that way. Especially with picks like 29th instead of 9th. [Reply]
Wait, what? A 1st and one of our 2nd round picks for this guy? That's like what you give up to get a total stud. I admit I don't watch much of the NFC, but is this guy that good? C'mon CP, sell this deal to me. PLEASE [Reply]

I don't think they're paying him 40 mil/yr, I do believe it's 105 over 5 yrs. This gets the cost of rushers from 37-38 mil (DF 17tag +JH 21) down to somewhere around 25-30 mil for Clark + Okafor + Ogbah. [Reply]

The offense could regress significantly and still be elite [Reply]
