I don't want Snoke to be Plagueis. I think it would be weak story telling. With the way TFA was so similar to ANH, they need original ideas for the latest trilogy to be considered a success. Also, the rule of 2 would be total BS if we find out through six movies, the emperor was just a puppet. I believe he was too powerful to be subservient to anyone.
