The Texans offered Mathieu a long-term deal worth over $9.5 million per year before free agency, but once it started, Chiefs and Texans were bidding for Mathieu until the very end. Hearing Houston’s final offer was close to KC’s.

I have no idea what the LB core is going to look like next season.
Well, okay. That's fine.
Except Ragland can't play STs. Unless it's in the BLSTL (Blind & Lost Stupid Turtle League), or somewhere.

I'm no Draftabulator so I hesitate to say anything, but I kinda expect us to trade up again, Mr. Stryker. Maybe a couple of times if we can and it works out that way.
It just seems like something Veach likes to do. Plus, we have depth at a ton of positions. We just need a couple of star-quality players. Or three.

So we have now
- shut Houston out in the playoffs in their own house
- stepped right in front of them to nab Mahomes
- outbid them for Mathieu
I'm thinking Houston might be getting sick of our shit, lol
