1. She wasn't sure if it was going to show up.

2. Jon is rather dumb. The show doesn't really make this clear with other characters, because no one talks down to him. But he is stupid. If he knew he had a huge army behind him, he probably would have given that fact away to Ramsay, either intentionally or unintentionally.

3. Sansa knows if the army doesn't show up, they are probably fucked. If it does, well, the element of surprise will work all the much better for them. But if she tells Jon, they are counting on it, and it doesn't show up, then they are DEFINITELY fucked.

4. Sansa is smarter than Jon. Before the battle she basically tells him "try not to do anything too stupid" and hopes she can save his ass. But she probably couldn't have saved his ass if she had told him, because he's constantly fucking things up.

Speaking of which, how did he survive the scene with an entire cavalry charging at him? That seemed way too convenient.

None of those arguments make any sense...they were scouring the land, together, looking for soldiers. Their agenda was the same...

My prediction....Red Witch and 3-Eye Raven are the supernatural tie in for defeating the White Walkers. The chubby glass-dagger sort, who stole his dad's sword, will redeem himself...by killing the leader.

Yes, but they clearly have very different ideas on how to go about achieving that agenda.

The only differing opinion was the amount of men needed. Snow had to attack or risk exposing his men to the brutal snow storms that took a toll on Stannis' army. Had he waited, he would've had even less of a chance of victory. If Sansa knew, she should've said something. I wonder what was offered to Littlefinger for his aid.

Yes, he was missing intentionally. The second shot, he intentionally took his eye off of Rickon before loosing.

In the scenes for next week, he says something to Sansa, "Don't you know what I want by now? The same thing I've always wanted." as he's like caressing her cheek. Makes you think he wants her hand in marriage, but he could just as easily follow that up with, "The seven kingdoms! muahaha!"

He's going to try and marry Sansa to become the Warden in the north, I hope she shanks him.

definitely best episode for me. Sansa not telling Jon about the Vale army to me wasn't an oversight. I believe she didn't know when they would come, if even they would. I think she also wanted to show Jon that this isn't all on him (see a couple episodes ago when she told him this but he obviously didn't listen). That she is the one that saved the day, not him.

Also, one of my favorite dialogues out of all six seasons is Tyrion, Daeny, Theon, and Yara at the negotiation.

I wonder how Sansa being pregnant will complicate things

She would eat that boy alive.

That's what I am thinking as well. i just don't understand the reasoning behind all of this. He was already named Warden of the North by the crown. I could see it if he is truly that pressed on Sansa, but that is one tedious way to get there.

He was obsessed with Caitlyn and Sansa reminds him very much of Caitlyn. Littlefingers twin motivations are lust and revenge. Lust for Caitlyn, now Sansa, and revenge on all the nobility due them mocking his low station and less than impressive physical gifts.
