We don't really have one of these yet, so figured we could use this as a place to discuss potential free agent acquisitions and what we would like to look for them to bring in.
If any of you guys are interested, heres a good place to do some research.
Sign a safety. Start him next to Watts. Draft a CB or 2. Other picks are nothing but pass rushers or LBs. Id also trade a 1st 2nd and 5th to move up and draft Devin White to play MLB. [Reply]
Crucial #Chiefs info in here. KC was interested in Weddle and according to Breer, KC has concerns that Ford can’t hold up against the run. He also states GB & SF want to wait until 1st wave of FA is over. Must read below. https://t.co/ZYmvGhER1Z
6. I think, even though Chiefs safety Eric Berry is 30 and has played only four games of Kansas City’s last 35 because of illness/injury, and even though he is owed $12.5 million in salary and bonus this year, I expect Andy Reid to keep him. Reid believes in Berry’s leadership and thinks he can still be an impact safety. Also important: Berry would be a $14.95-million dead-cap weight on the Chiefs if cut. [Reply]

If we wait until the first wave of free agency is over on Ford, we are most likely not big players the next few days... unless rescinding the tag is an option.
For example. Since these names have been tossed out here, do we prefer Collins and Flowers? Or one of those two and a possible 2nd round draft pick instead?
Me? I prefer something like Collins and Flowers. [Reply]

I'm kind of the opposite on this. There is not an abundance of pass rushing help in FA, so I really don't see how it has that much of an impact. Whether we target Flowers, who won't fit Green Bay's scheme, or other FAs are scooped up, I am finding it difficult to believe that there isn't more demand for Ford. His injury history aside, and even with the release of Houston, there is just not a large supply of pass rushers out there so I can't imagine a more robust demand isn't inevitable. I guess the draft is projected to have a ton of those guys, but that's obviously a gamble over proven commodities like Ford, etc. [Reply]
Lmao calm down guys. We have around 20m to play with just to start FA. Fords tag doesn't have to be off our books in the first wave, it would be nice, but it's not a necessity.
What IS interesting is the fact they were in on Weddle. Could mean they have changed their stance on Collins and I'm kind of okay with that. I think finding a SAM is a bigger priority right now. FA is stacked with safeties and so is the draft class, strong side linebackers on the other hand...
I'd be fine with them going hard after Barr and shoring up that spot. [Reply]
@RapSheet: Last night, the #Rams agreed to terms with pass-rusher Dante Fowler Jr. on a 1-year deal worth $14M, source said. The former 1st rounder gets another year with the team that traded for him at roughly the amount that the fifth-year option would’ve been, then can hit the market.
You'd think this deal helps Ford get traded. [Reply]

Bold Prediction. A third team steps in a swoops up Fjord while GB and SF twiddle their dicks. [Reply]
