There is no choosing this vs that, hence why your ideology is just flat fucking dumb. They tried to close it out without putting the Defense back on the field, but they were clearly tired and made some mistakes. What part of that is too much for you to understand?
Both teams made mistakes allover the place. The difference is the Chiefs strung together enough plays to get it done and Los Diego did not. [Reply]

I think they're perfectly happy escaping with a win and no major season ending injuries that we're aware of. Only CP seems to think they lost the game and the season.
.
Ah, twisting words to make the other argument seem worse. High discussion indeed.
I asked if KC is happy with how they are playing right now, not if they are happy to get a win. If you think the Chiefs are happy with their play the last month I don't know what to say. [Reply]

The Chiefs closed the game with multiple drives of r2p2. Majority runs. Majority passes were screens or safe bullshit. They did not try to close the game out on offense and win the game. Stop with that bullshit. They played the entire last few series on offense NOT TO LOSE. They wanted to burn clock and make SD burn timeouts. [Reply]

That's because you're stupid.
Nobody thinks the Chiefs 'lost' anything TONIGHT, tonight's unrest is the continuing failure to correct glaring mistakes that have been fatal in the past, softened by the bigger mistakes made by the opposition that gave us an opportunity to notch another important, but not dispositive, regular-season win. You have no football sense. We started the second half by running short plays under the zone and got two scores. They adjusted and took those away. When they did that Fisher and LDT were gassed from not being in Game shape as well as having a back up Center. MAHOMES HAD NO TIME or were your eyes shut. The 3rd and 3 to ice the game Reid called exactly what most of you dumb mother ****ers wanted him to call last week...
Also, Andy tried to shorten the game. We were down to one fucking RB...
You probably never played football, let alone understand it. [Reply]

I wanted him to call a roll out to the left that cut off half the field and limited the options of the best QB on the planet?
We all get the basic stuff you just laid out. Doesn't change the conservative play calling that ended that game. Not to mention your premise and excuse about the oline is all conjecture and ignores the fact that the Chargers themselves had 2 rookies starting at tackle and yet don't bring that up when talking about oline issues. [Reply]
Exactly. Chargers put this game on a platter for us. We had multiple chances to salt away a win with the ball in then hands of last year's MVPs and it was hand off this and screen that and OMG time to punt. [Reply]

I will take Mahomes freelancing under pressure 100 times out of 100 over an exhausted and out gunned defense. [Reply]

Reid was playing not to lose. Period. Our defense was gassed too. You know the best way to manage a gassed team? Keep the ball on offense and use up the entire play clock between plays. You'd rather watch our gassed defense barely make it to the line of scrimmage sprinting to the line against a hurry up offense? There were a few plays where Frank Clark barely even made it to the line. Our offense down a few players is still good enough to get a 1 or 2 extra first downs over MULTIPLE drives.
You know what else the Chargers adjusted to? Predictable r2p2 and barrage of screen passes. [Reply]
