I’m all for trading up to get Jaire Alexander, Isaiah Oliver, Carlton Davis, Mike Hughes, Taven Bryan, or Justin Reid.

Me too depending on who is there. I'm going to watch Jaire tonight.

He doesn’t have one, I know. And once we signed Watkins, my interest in signing him dried up rather fast.

That's not happening without parting away with 2019 first rounder. Veach isn't going to do that.

The Chiefs are going to see more zone defenses than any other team in the NFL this year. There just aren’t many, if any teams that can even try to man up their personnel from down to down.

We’re going to see A TON of deep balls. It’s already a known fact that a cover 4 shell means Tyreek Hill is hitting his head on the goal post for six half of the time. A cover 2 shell means Mahomes uses his arm to fit the ball in the C2 holes on each sideline, or he simply tosses it over the ILBs head to Kelce who has a ton of room because the safeties have to get over Watkins and Hill. Cover 3 presents a ton of options.

I can see bringing Bray back for this reason. He has the arm to make the throws (but a nickel brain). I wouldn’t want him as the primary backup, but he’s a fine enough 3.

You know who would be a great backup QB?

Case Keenum.

I don’t know where the price will be, but I still wouldn’t mind Tre Boston.

If you nab him, you can draft DL and corner early without worrying about much else.

Morgan Burnett is the safety I see KC getting.

Boston is 25, which fits more of what Veach has been doing so far. But I like Burnett.

Getting close to 30 and will command a larger deal. I don't see it, or a FA FS.

Burnett is older but is very versatile and fits what Sutton likes to do with his safeties.

I could definitely see Veach packaging a couple picks to move up in round 2 if there's a guy he likes. It'd only be a few guys I'd bet but I wouldn't rule it out. Though I do like staying at 54 and keeping next year's 2 2s.

Maybe he'll package up the 7's or their 6th but I'd be surprised if he packaged up either of the 3's or 4's because there will be talented players on the board at that time.

They have 5 choices from the 2 to the 4th round. I think they stay where they're at and pick away. No reason they can't land at least 2-3 starters with those picks.

I'm still feeling that if the Chiefs make another bigger FA move, it'll be for DRC.
