This team is going to need a top notch run game to make an AFC Championship under Alex Smith in 2017, along with a top notch defense. Now, if Mahomes becomes as good as many including myself think he could be, it's a whole new level for the Chiefs. The offense could become something it hasn't been in nearly 15 years.
I honestly dont see our guys being quite as dynamic as Atlantas duo
But what our guys lack in explosiveness, they should be be able to make up for with with a grinding, wear you down, kill the clock style... provided Ehingers return is the cure for what ailed us last year
What Alex Smith brings this year, I have no clue... tempted to expect the same old shit because thats how he has mostly played for his entire career
But maybe, just maybe, the writing on the wall spurs him to reach outside of himself and he tries to MAKE plays for once... 'good' Smiff can approach dynamic, we'll see
The pressure will either make him wilt, or make him show off
If he decides to grab his balls, we could have a great year [Reply]

refer back to #304 to understand what I'm really getting at.. and if you still can not.. then continue to call others stupid as you keep the bucket of shit on your head and smash it against the wall.
soooo... you over look all the poor plays on 1st and second down made by the QB, BUT point out poor plays made any anyone else on 3rd?

Smith's fault? or the RT's?
Jah Reid couldn't block someone half his size. Nobody with even a pea sized brain is faulting Smith for that INT. [Reply]
That fucking bitch runs at fake pressure all the time but the minute there is actual pressure he's not smart enough to step up or run the fuck away. Fuck him. [Reply]
In a game where the team scores 16 points and doesn't score a single point for more than 2 full quarters, there isn't a single play you can point to and say Alex could have done better.

Ignorance is strong with you.
Dude. If he wouldnt have fumbled and just been tackled, they would have had to use the TO right then and there.
So please forgive me if I dont think that the leader of our offense could have moved the ball 35 or so yards in 10 seconds with no timeouts remaining. He has demonstrated time and time again that he cant handle that. [Reply]
What you are failing to acknowledge, is in a 2 point game, any number of plays could have been the difference in the game if they were executed. While you discount the majority of those 7 gif'd plays as "just one play and not looking at the entire drive," you are failing to state how one play could have not only made a difference in the drive itself, but could have dramatically altered the outcome of the game. So the 5 dropped passes, not giving up a broken play to Brown where berry should have been helping out houston, the west fumble, or you know...forcing a punt? You think any of that had an impact? [Reply]
Been having a good time reading through the gameday thread for that Steelers game.
It occurs to me that people form their thoughts more accurately while watching live.... and then those memories get twisted into their old biases and agendas.
The first 40 pages are filled with a unanimous "the defense is awful".. the offense was getting lots of love, and not even that much hate on the next failed O-drive.
Thought this comment on page 58 was interesting (the Smith/Hill missed opportunity)

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that most of those comments came before they saw video of the entire play and not just a close up of Smith scrambling with seemingly no options. [Reply]
