It's funny, because here's what hootie had to say about that deal in the fantasy baseball league at the time:
"None of my friends like fantasy baseball...so it's the only fantasy sport I venture out and play with "strangers"...
I'll just say this...
You'll never see anyone veto a trade in our FFL leagues...
We'll call someone a dumbass for a dumb fucking trade...but that's the way life works...sometimes someone is going to win a deal...and if it's obvious there is no collusion, it should go through EVERY time...
Some people are n00bs...some people know something that others might not know...either way...the dude proposed the trade to doomy and doomy accepted...
but to be honest...the more and more I get to know and read The Bad Guy...he's just a bitter fucking guy...so it's no surprise to me." [Reply]

Well, this will be my last reply to you because I don't want you to successfully turn this thread into a thread about you like every other thread you post in.
I in no way "put one over on anyone" in this deal. It was a deal we both liked and as people who posted in the thread BCD started in Casino Planet about it, I probably got the better end, but it wasn't lopsided. He wanted Best. You have to pay for a guy like Best. We both liked the deal when it was made, and it wasn't until he read the comments from people like BCD on this board that he changed his tune.
It isn't a "real asshole move" to make a deal to make your team stronger in a fantasy football league. It's not like I traded the guy a RB who is out for at least 6 weeks. [Reply]
I apologize for getting off topic but have to say something.

In the baseball league I'm the one who initiated the deal to Doomy that got vetoed. At the time I needed one more closer to help win the Saves & a SP for Win categories. Also OPS w/ Loney. I wasn't worried about the K's or HR's I would give up cause I had guys' who were producing. I also gave up on the Saves & stolen bases & worked on producing in the other areas.
The other managers thumped their chest cause they said they saved me from myself.
But yet I fell to last place & had to kick & scratch to even make the playoffs. I must say, having Bautista helped immensely. [Reply]

Thanks for posting that, Mike. I wasn't going to mention it because it isn't worth getting into arguments with guys like Hootie. [Reply]
I said more than likely out for the season. Even if it is 4-6 weeks, what impact will he have-proabably zero. I don't fault Doomy or BCD for coming out ahead on trades, it takes the other person to accept it to make it final.. [Reply]
Also in my defense I didn't email him back and worth and sale this dude on the trade. He made the first offer and I countered with what turned out to be the final deal. I then saw Portis was going to be out a bit and canceled it a few seconds after I sent the offer and added Kuhn with Portis and Marshall so he would have another RB while Portis was out. He turned down that offer and came back with the same deal only removing Kuhn from the mix. I just assumed people read up on the players they are trading for. [Reply]

Hey, good deal. I can't imagine he knew Portis would be out 6+, but more power to you. [Reply]

I don't understand it. I've never seen a trade in FF where I offered it to the guy and he just agreed with it and accepted it. Trading takes time because each team is trying to screw the other team out of better players.
If I would've known the league was like this....I would've dropped the $100 and played. [Reply]

I wouldn't say the entire league is like this. I'm certainly not. My bro though seemed content in giving up too much to make sure he got the receiver he wanted. Time will tell if he benefits in a positive manner from this trade or a negative one. [Reply]
