He got his chance. He has proved he cannot hit up st this level and it’s fine, it’s hard to do. He really doesn’t have a future beyond being a AAA guy.
ROH has always been diff despite also having bad numbers, his peripherals are too good. [Reply]
I don't want to throw a guy under the bus after a bad month but Bubba is still striking out way too much, he's looking overmatched up there at times. The problem with him (which is why they didn't bring him up earlier)... is they can't send him back down. You can't do like you did with guys like Mondesi or O'Hearn, or even Moose back in the day. Send them down to work on their weaknesses and then bring them back up. There's not much you can do in that case. [Reply]
Not sure if it's been mentioned, but it appears a new TV contract is almost agreed upon with FSKC. I think the estimate is somewhere in the range of $50 million a year. Obviously an improvement, but still one of the lowest payouts in all of baseball (as is to be expected). I wonder how much Glass will actually invest back into the team. [Reply]
I think where Glass hurts the team is not eating money to get prospects.
The idea that he hurts the team by generally being cheap is not true at all. This team was in the top half of money spent during the main contention years, which is well beyond what the other small market teams do, even when they're winning.
And he's certainly let Dayton blow money on some terrible FA signings. The failures of this team the last 3-4 years have been way more on Dayton making bad FA signings and poor draft picks over Glass not spending money. [Reply]
