Nzoner's Game Room>Official 2017-2018 NBA Playoffs thread!
Al Bundy 08:21 PM 04-13-2018

We'll see if the Warriors recover from the end of the season stretch of stinkers.

There's no way he would do it, and no way Pop would want Lebron. Pop hated how Lebron treated Blatt. And there's no way Pop would ever allow Pop to run iso. He wants lots of ball movement. Lebron wants a coach he can walk all over. He doesn't like coaches who tell him what to do. I don't think that ever changes.

i'll pick a dark horse and make a hot take and say Lebron to Portland for these reasons:

-Lebron and Dame are low key friends. (always praise eachother)
-Dame criticized Kyrie for leaving Lebron
-Lebron, Dame, CJ would make a nice trio. Aminu slides to the 5. They matchup small with other new era small ball teams that switch on everything (Warrriors, Houston, etc). Collins will be the big that comes off the bench with they have to play outdated East teams that still run stiffs in their lineup (Celtics with Baynes, Raptors with JV, etc)
-Would have to trade picks, Nurk (attach a bad contract like Turner) and Hark to make it happen, would probably need a 3rd team involved.
-Portland also has a coach that Lebron can walk all over
-Portland is basically Nike HQ
-He's not that far from California to do entertainment (it's not Ohio or the East).
-Dame and CJ are better than anything you can find on the Lakers, Clippers, Kings, Suns, any other western option in close proximity to Hollywood not named the Warriors. (Though he should consider the Jazz, but that is a boring market)

If LeBron goes to Houston, the Rockets become better than GS. We all know how close LeBron and CP3 are. However, I dont think LeBron goes there. Instead, I think he ends up in LA abd CP3 joins him and they get one more top tier FA to join them. The LA market is too big for LaBron to ignore at this stage of his career.

I personally think the best thing for LeBron to do is go to Houston. I think there he would have the best chance to win 2 or 3 Titles immediately.

Next best option is Boston, but then the Warriors would still be a problem....Just my opinion.

Should have punched JR Smith in the face like Jordan did Kerr.

Even Kerr knew what the score was and drilled a game winner in the Finals

First let's clear it up he didn't break his hand he has bruise. If he had a broken hand he would be out for awhile and couldn't play.

Second you and the other bron lovers were making fun of Steph injury excuses after the 2016 finals. You didn't see him showing up after losing Game 7 at the PC with crutches and a knee brace on, he did the complete opposite and said it was fine and no excuses.

Everybody is laughing at him today on social media, he really hurt his legacy with this stunt.

So here is Bron's bad hand after quitting last night.

Lebron also had a bad shoulder when he quit against Boston in the playoffs many years ago. I don't buy his excuse. His body language throughout his career has never been good when things look completely hopeless. Can't say I blame him. But excuses like this are not good for optics. He was better off just having people feel sorry for his team being so outmatched.

Agreed. He should have never said word about it and moved on but he didn't. Now he looks like a guy making excuses which is never a good look.

or this :-)

Worst case scenario, you can trade him or Fultz for a king's ransom. But I don't see why it would come to that. Lebron's played with really bad shooters before and apart from Simmons, the Sixers have several excellent outside shooters including Embiid.
Lonzo Ball isn't a good shooter, but Simmons literally is incapable of shooting at all. He doesn't even take jump shots. Simmons' value is also entirely tied up in having the ball and making his teammates better, but LeBron needs the ball as well for the same reason.

Maybe they can make it work with all their talent, but there are better fits out there.

And your point? My opinion has changed a lot on LeBron over the last eight years too. How could it not? He's put together the greatest and most statistically dominant 8 year run in NBA history.

Of course it's his fault. He even said himself "self-inflicted." Which is why the idea that it is false and he's come up with it as an "excuse" is even more ridiculous, but people will take whatever they can to criticize.

They'll need to bring in PG too there or they'll have no chance at anything.
