Self lost in the first round only twice - his first 2 years, with your boyfriend Roy's players. After that, he's never lost in the first round. Kazoo did it 3 times since Self did it. You would be screaming about firing Kazoo because of his embarrassing first round losses and throwing up garbage stats about his winning percentages in the first round.

ncaa basketball is all about recruiting now. Thats it. You have the best players youre going to FF's. We need an x nba player that can relate to these 17 year old hs phenoms and get them to come to ku. You get one or two of them a year and then a handful of top 100 guys who will stay 3-4 years. He's 33-13 in the NCAAT here. That's 6 full wins under his expected win total given seed. That's hideous and he can't hide from that.
KU fans are content winning the Farmer League. (A collection of football schools who have as many FF combined the last 13 years as South Carolina). They convince themselves "Wow, But-Uh Bill is a genius for handling Press Virginia and those pesky Boo-clones!" I'm sure this place is in full on troll mode, but I'll bite.... What's the alternative here? Cry about it? "Demand" more national championships or to fire Self or something equally stupid?
And how many more NCs should they have exactly? Two in my lifetime so far... one more and they'd be up there with UK and UNC, two more and they'd match UConn, and 3 more and they'd tie the only school with 5 during that time. And a couple of those schools have NIT appearances in that time or have several years where they don't make the tournament.
I guess we could all be Duke fans, that's the only school I'd even consider being envious of when it comes to tournament success, and of course they've had their issues, too. :-)
Not every loss in the tournament is a 'choke', even if a higher seed loses... spin it how you wish, but things like match up problems and parity and bad shooting nights exist. [Reply]

What was the argument? That Self is better than K? Coach K is arguably the greatest college coach of all time, maybe in any sport. There's only one of him, so I'm not sure if your expecting Kansas to replicate what he has done for 30+ years at Duke or what. You'll be disappointed if so. [Reply]
