Amiable enough and exciting in parts, but largely a slog.
I'm enjoying it immensely, nonetheless. I've watched 4.5 seasons in less than a month.
Watching Daryl pinned on the ground seemingly fucked before he stuck his fingers in a walker's eye sockets, ripped it's head off, and used it as a makeshift club to ward off his attacker was BRILLIANT.
The visuals are stunning at times. A bunch of napalm-melted walkers stuck to the asphalt in front of a downed chopper? ICONIC.
We need an open-world RPG based on this universe.
I'm honestly kicking myself for watching the last 5 episodes of Season 7 because now I know who survives.
I also accidentally saw a spoiler image about Glen and I hate myself.

It looked to me like he had a soft spot for Sasha and it might have led to him not picking up on what they were planning on the Season 7 finale.
Considering he just lost a wife...maybe he has a weakness for attractive women that will be exploited. [Reply]
Which is sad, because Cliff Curtis is a fabulous actor. Kim Dickens gets way too much of the focus when her role is a frustrating character (for me at least). [Reply]

Agree with this 100%. She's like a bad combo of Andrea and Lori from TWD. My wife and I stopped watching about half way through season 2. [Reply]

It's been frighteningly dull up to now, and it's suffered for not having source material like the flagship to draw on. I don't know if the next season will improve, but it looks like they've developed some ambition. I'll probably give it a small chance, based on the new storylines, but I'm not going to stick with it heartily if it continues to be a snooze.

There's no way I can defend it. I just don't think it's as bad as everyone else does. However with GOT and The Strain over the summer, I don't even know if I'll have time for FTWD, whereas TWD is appointment viewing for me [Reply]
