Maybe? Is he ok with only getting 40-50 catches? [Reply]

When he is on the field he occupies the defense even when Tyreek and Kelce are doubled, and when paired with Hardman he creates bad decisions for the defense. The balls may not go his way, but he creates space for everyone.

I’d rather have somebody with 80% of his ability if they could play 14-16 games a season. [Reply]

Agreed.
Watkins and Robinson have about 100 targets between the two of them (around 7 targets/game). That's about 1.5 fewer targets a game than he got with Mayfield in Cleveland.
But if he's cut by Cleveland to free up $$ to spend shoring up its defense, and he ends up looking for a prove-it deal because the next big contract isn't there, it's hard to imagine a better place for him to do it than KC.
Being on the field with Hill and Kelce does mean your target share is going to go down... but it also means the amount of single coverage you face is going to SKYROCKET, and you get to play with an elite QB for the first time in your career.
If he came to KC and put up 13 YPC on 80 catches with 10+ TDs (likely, IMO), he'd be positioned nicely to get that one last huge deal... and be a champ.
It's not a MUST, but KC is in position to offer that type of setup to luxury guys moving forward. It's one of the reasons Watkins stayed... he just can't stay healthy. [Reply]
