If you want inspired improv, you'd be hard-pressed to surpass last week's Harmontown.
Dan gets ahold of a vocoder, and about halfway through proceeds to wander through the sad life of a sentient she-robot.
If you aren't familiar with Harmontown, that might sound like a mishmash of nonsense, . . . and it is. But if you are familiar, you know how amazing it can be as well.
It's Dan Harmon [creator of Community and Rick'n'Morty] and Jeff Davis [Whose Line], riffing with a live audience and a random/rotating/occasional guest. This episode was Rob Schrab [HWood writer, best known for creating Sarah Silverman Show].
The first half hour is normal podcast jibber-jabber, decent enough [actually a little somber because he's talking about his grandmother who recently passed], but at about 30 min in, it might be the hardest I've laughed at anything this year [outside Trump's 'why not?' last night].

If you like Bill Burr, you owe it to yourself to search 'allenpalin' on youtube.
Dude takes some of Bill's better MMPC rants and attaches them to visuals and background regarding what Bill's talking about. Some are better than others, but it's kind of cool to have primary sources for things Bill's riffing on. [Reply]

Burr's podcast from last Monday, that went extra long, was one of best. The whole manspreading argument. [Reply]
I can't believe Bill Burr is having a baby. He didn't sound himself on his last MMP not this week, haven't listened yet but the previous. His rants crack me up. [Reply]
After a long hiatus [premusably due to his acting schedule filling up], Stephen Tobolowsky* is back to doing The Tobolowsky Files fairly regularly. At least there's been 3 new episodes in the past month or so.
He's kind of sappy, kind of cheesy, kind of new-agey. But he tells a story about as good as anyone out there.
Tim Ferriss podcast has gone to shit since he started doing audio outtakes from his live audience video show that streams on ATT Network.
I get that he's trying to branch out, but I don't really enjoy the new format.
I've started in on "Waking Up with Sam Harris" and "the Unmistakable Creative" now. Yes, I"m heavy on the self-help, energizing, optimization bullshit. [Reply]
